App Grid
All your apps on one fullscreen grid.
A fullscreen grid of the apps in your Applications folders, opened with a shortcut you choose or from Command Center. Type to filter, then page with the arrow keys, a trackpad swipe, or the mouse wheel.
Interactive illustration with sample values.
What it does
- Apps from /Applications, ~/Applications, and the system Applications folder, with their real icons
- Alphabetical pages with page dots
- Type-to-filter search at the top of the grid
- Arrow-key, ⌘-arrow, swipe, and scroll-wheel paging
- Opens on the display with the pointer; Esc clears the search, then closes
- Global shortcut with no default binding, so it never collides with a system shortcut
- Access
- Read-only
- Where you find it
- Own windowCommand Center
- Permissions
- None. It only reads app bundles.
Deliberate limits
- Icons cannot be reordered or grouped into folders yet; the order is alphabetical.
- Never moves, changes, or uninstalls an app. Removal stays in Cleanup's reviewed uninstaller.
Private beta
Help shape a calmer way to look after your Mac.
A small group of testers is using MacUtilityHub before its public release. See what the beta includes and what it needs to run.
