Private beta
A small beta, before a careful release.
How to join
Invitations are currently sent directly by the developer, and there is no public sign-up yet. When one opens, it will appear on this page. There is no public download; builds go out to testers once they are signed and notarized. The download page shows the current status.
Curious what is finished and what is not? The roadmap lists it plainly.

FAQ
Questions testers ask.
What does the beta cost?
Nothing during the private beta. Pricing for the public release has not been decided yet.
Is MacUtilityHub open source?
No. It uses a small number of permissively licensed components, which are credited on the acknowledgements page.
Will it be on the Mac App Store?
No. MacUtilityHub is distributed directly, because several tools need access the App Store sandbox does not allow. Public builds are signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
Does Cleanup delete anything automatically?
Never. Every action starts with a review of exact paths and sizes, and Trash is the default. See the safety model for the full process.
Can it change my charge limit or fan speeds?
Not today. Battery, Thermals, and Displays only read the hardware. Hardware controls stay in research until they can be made safe and reversible.
Do I need a subscription for AI Chat?
No subscription to MacUtilityHub. You add your own OpenRouter key and pay OpenRouter directly for what you use. Everything else works without a key.
Will it slow my Mac down?
Metrics are sampled only while a window or menu bar readout needs them, nothing runs as a background daemon unless you approve the administrative Cleanup helper, and modules you turn off on the Dashboard stay idle.
Can I use only some modules?
Yes. Each module has a switch on the Dashboard, and turning one off also removes it from the menu bar.
